PART ONE: THE OUTER SHELL

This is essentially a box, but creating the complex shape of the side panels will take some work. Lay out your cut lines carefully and double-check everything before you make your cuts. Keeping all of the edges square and the holes precise will really pay.

STEP 1: Lay out side panels A and D according to the diagrams provided. The easiest way to create the large oval hole in the center and the long slot along the edge is to drill a row of holes and then cut away the waste between them (Figure 2).
